ho ho, a bottle of rum, and a happy monkey welcome you to April here
with the Big T. How are ya? Come on in as we hop
into the lovely spring season.
There are lots of things happening here, so buckle up and
enjoy the ride. First off,
let me just say hello to my friend who sent me the best
e-mail of the month in
March. My mom said it wasn't a very nice e-mail, but I
couldn't have been happier.
I got called a mofo! Me! A genuine mo-freakin'-fo!
I'm so excited. I've always
wanted to be one. I'm going to remember where I was and
what I was wearing that
fateful day forever. I'm blocking out the part about
the apology e-mail that
followed a few days later. I will pretend it never
came. I remain as it was - a bona
fide mofo. Word.
I would
like to thank everyone who voted in my midi poll last month, and the
results are in! 56% of you voted for me to keep some of
the music on the site,
while 33% voted to keep all of it. Sorry complainers,
but only 11% voted to junk it
all. So there you have it. The people have
spoken! I'm going to be posting a poll
next month to vote for which Tim movie clip you would like to
see on the site. This
means that I'm going to need ideas from all of you which I
will pick the poll choices
from. So put on your thinking caps and send
in some ideas! I'll put the best 5 in the
poll. And speaking of movie clips, there is a new
one up on my Movies Page this
month. I decided to do a short little music video
clip this month, and it is my tribute
to one of the best bad movies of all time, Xanadu.
I mean come on, it's a movie
about a roller-skating muse. Don't forget the 40's and
80's band rock-off, throw in
Gene Kelly, and you've got pure movie genius. Ah, the
good old days. In any case,
check it out. I also have a new entry in my Ask
Tim column. You guys just keep
sending in some great stuff, keep it coming! Also look
for some new song requests
around the second week of the month on my Sounds
Page. I have to wait until my
singing voice is in better shape to give the tunes the royal
Tim treatment. Finally,
as promised last month, I'm having an Easter Egg Hunt Contest
this year in honor
of the impending holiday. I've hidden a link to a
surprise page somewhere on the
site. The first person to e-mail
me with the answer of what you find wins a prize! If
I get a few entries close together, I'll do a drawing.
Okay,
I got all of that business out of the way. Phew! Let's move
on.... Some
of you may remember that I was asked to do an interview with
an up and coming
online men's magazine last summer. Well, the site
pretty much went bust before it
really became anything, so my interview never made it
online. As a bonus treat this
month, I made my
mom track down the transcript of the interview. I've posted it
here for you if you so desire to
check it out. I think I may have slipped and said a
couple of mild bad words, so make sure you cover them up with
butterflies or smiley
faces before the kiddies see it! I've got a couple of
adventures planned this month,
but I'm not sure if cameras are allowed inside the
events. I'll do my best to sneak
in what I can! In the meantime, hope everyone has
a Happy Easter and Happy
Tax Day! If any of you ladies find yourself in a line
doing the bunny hop, those
are probably my sock hands on your butt. Sorry in
advance. Ooh, I almost forgot!
