Ho Ho Ho!

   

      Seasons Freakin’ Greetings!  Welcome to the Merry month of December here 
  with the sock.  I’ve got mistletoe under every doorway and I’m waiting for all of the
  ladies out there.  Pucker up, buttercups.  There’s a lot of things going on here this
  month, so let’s just dive right in!  For the 3 of you who are still watching Jack & Bobby
  over on the good ol’ WB, you may have noticed my cameo in an episode last month. 
  Hey, it’s a quality show so it’s the least I could do to try to give it a boost.  I didn’t like
  the business of being stuffed into a closet, but hey – that’s show biz.  (I also needed 
  some extra cash to finance my Rockin’ New Year’s Party.  What’s better than 2 kegs?

      There’s also a bunch of new stuff up over here in Bigt.com-Land.  There are some
  new song requests, some new Sock Advice and two new slappees over on my page of
  People I’d Like to Slap.  When I told my uncle that John Madden was finally getting
  the honor, he asked me, “What took you so long?”  I really don’t know – he should 
  have been on the inaugural list.  But better late then never they say, so Madden, this
  slap’s for you!  SMACK!  Rounding out the new material are 2 new movie clips over on
  my Movies Page.  The first is a short little holiday greeting from me and Santa.  The
  other one is in honor of the Sock Family, who sent me this e-mail recently:

 

          Dear Tim,

          We are the Sock Family from San Diego........Sock, Miss Mattie and Tiny Tim. 
          Miss Mattie and I just named our new son after you, Tiny Tim. We've been fans 
          of yours for years and couldn't think of a more fitting tribute than to have our little
          sock grow up with The Big T as his mentor and possibly his virtual God Father...
          we'd be honored!   We recently had a few family pictures taken....hope you enjoy.

  What an honor to be asked to be the godfather.  And of course I accepted.  I even 
  made a video clip to show the Sock family what a good Sockfather I could be!  Well,
  maybe they shouldn’t go by that….   

 

       Well, as another year winds down so does another month here with the Big T.  
  I guess this would be as good a time as any to make the announcement:  starting in
  January, I will be entering semi-retirement.  I’ll still be doing periodic updates here 
  on the site, but I won’t be doing the monthly pages anymore.  My page has been 
  around in some form since 1995, so it’s been a good long run.   I’ve had the time of 
  my life and I couldn’t have asked for better readers and fans.  Heck, I couldn’t have
  asked for better hate mail.  You guys rock.  And like I said, don’t worry, I’ll still be
  around and posting videos and songs and advice, so please keep it all coming.  Nate  
  and I are even planning to go to the sock equivalent of Mecca in April – the 
  anniversary celebration of the Rockford red-heeled sock.  (We’re vying to be the
  keynote speakers.)  If anyone lives near there or is going to be in the Illinois area 
  then, look us up!  I’ll also be heading out to L.A. in the spring, (this time to play 
  instead of work) so there will be plenty of pictures and goodies from both of those
  adventures for you to look forward to.  Basically my semi-retirement just gives me 
  extra time to travel and romance the ladies.  Why didn’t I think of this years ago?!   
  But like I said, I’ll still be popping in every now and then to put up some goodies, so
  keep your e-mails and requests coming.  And in the meantime, have the most Rockin’
  Holiday Season Ever!  Don’t forget to rock in the new year with my boy Dick Clark!
