get me a stamp, toot sweet!

     Happy September everybody (and happy birthday Mom and Liz) and welcome
   to the home of the most rockin' sock on the web!  It's a pretty quiet month here as I
   am still recovering from my rowdy summer.  I'd like to tell you all of the details, but
   I wouldn't want to burden you with becoming an accessory or anything.  Suffice to 
   say, I had some GOOD times.  We'll just leave it at that.  Anyway, I'm back from my
   trek down to Washington, D.C. where my mom went to attend a web writer's 
   conference.  As you know, I'm much too big of a star to fiddle-faddle with such things,
   so I just went along for the free trip.  The hotel was funky, the ladies were a'plenty, 
   and the booze was flowing, so I had myself quite the time.  I didn't even mind being
   left in the room for most of the time.  I'm able to clean up any traces of a room party
   in a jiffy.  It's a mastered art.  And just a quick hello and a wink to the ladies in rooms
   520, 609, 710, 805, 1011, and 418.  Oh, and 611.  I could never forget you, 611.

     In other news, if you're looking for a fun read this month, check out Penn Jillette's
   new novel, Sock.  It's a story about a bad mammerjammer sock monkey detective.  
   And even though I'm not affiliated with it, it still gets this sock's paw of approval.   
   I'll be busy reading that until I have to get ready for an 80's themed party that I've
   been invited to mid-month.  Don't people know that I'm a Disco Monkey??  Where
   are the 70's parties?  Anyway, I suppose I'll make an appearance there.  Anyone got
   some leg warmers I can borrow?  Hopefully I'll snap some pictures while I'm at it.  
   I'd better get off to look for some paint-splattered sunglasses.  But - before I go - you
   didn't think I'd leave you without anything else new, did you?  There's a new movie

   on deck as well, so stay tuned for those.  And as always, keep sending in your
